Gosana Culture and Nature Park is the closest nature park to Kilifi town – North Coast of Mombasa, Kenya. It is a multi-faceted jewel, often overlooked by safarigoers, despite offering the opportunity to explore a beguiling diversity of habitats within a few hours.
The Park started as a rescue centre for small and rare wild animals. Currently it is inhabited by inquisitive blue monkeys and colourful turacos and trogons. Pairs of wide-eyed dik-dik dart into scrubby bush like overgrown hares on spindly legs.
Many species of colourful birds inhabit the green forest of native indigenous species in the park. Guinea fowls, ostriches, hawks, colourful weaverbirds, dik-diks and antelopes are easily sported while at the Park’s Restaurant.
